Episode 5: Kristen Seikaly of Operaversity

Kristen Seikaly is a blogger, content writer, and creative writer. She also happens to be an ex-opera singer. She’s got a MM from Westminster Choir College in Voice Performance and Pedagogy and has performed in venues such as the Kimmel Center and Academy of Music, and has participated in operatic productions with companies such as Opera Philadelphia and Princeton Opera Alliance.

In short, until only a couple of years ago, she was on the path of building a career in music and opera.  🎉

Until she decided to QUIT. 😮

On this week’s episode she talks to us about how working on her blog Operaversity led to a career transition away from music and into writing. In a few short years, she’s had short stories published, started a new gaming blog called Cats and Dice (it is SUPER cute), and is writing game materials! 🎲

Most importantly, she speaks to us about how to be honest and self-reflective when your heart isn’t in your work any more, and what forging a new path to happiness can look like.  🙌🏻
